Player

To start with, all vpod.tv interactive and community features are available when you press on the "v" menu on the bottom right of the control bar. Pressing it reveals a list of commands that you can quickly activate for more control.

Basic player features :



Liking the video and feeling like sharing it immediately ? Click the share button to send it by email instantly.


Liking the video and wanting to reblog it onto your own blog or site ? Click on "Get Link" and grab the HTML code to repost it on your site. You can even choose predefined sizes, or enter your own size for the video player. The permalink sends you back to vpod.tv for additional features on the video.
This is the perfect tool for viral video sharing and distribution :)



Liking the video and feeling like buzzing it to popular sites such as Digg (english), Scoopeo (French), Meneame (Spanish), or bookmark it onto social bookmarking sites such as del.icio.us and others ? Easy ! Just click on the respective logo to do so.
Also you can easily subscribe to the RSS feed of the user who published the video, or even add with one click the RSS feed onto iTunes, for easy synchronization to your iPod !


The Info command gives you technical information about the video, such as the owner, the number of times the video has been seen (currently on the Flash player, but soon on all screen sizes and on all devices), its rating, the length of the video, etc.



Feeling uncomfortable about a video ? Let us know quickly by using the Flag It menu. Our support staff will then quickly review the video and act wisely according to what we detect : porn content, hatred content, IP violation content, etc.



We would not be an European company if we didn't support the cultural differences and the different languages of our Continent. Our player is currently available in French, English, Spanish and German. Feel free to change your language of use as often as you like. As you can see, we have left space for many more languages, coming soon.



Of course, we could have tested our player forever in many different configurations and still not have found all the bugs. As you may have noticed, we have been testing it with a selected number of users for the past few months. We are confident it runs fast, is easy enough to use, and will enhance your content with a modern player.

Share : Lets a user send the video to friends by email

Link : Code users to insert the video in to your site/Blog Link to the actual video found on the vpod.tv portal. Choose your player size.

RSS : RSS - Gives you the RSS feed for this users videos iTunes – Gives you a link to download the video (and the users other videos) directly to iTunes.

Info : Displays video info such as title, owner, duration, date, number of comments and views

Flag : Users can notify us of offensive material.

Preferences : (languages) Choose your preferred language

Help : Send a feedback or visit our support site.

At the end of the video, the viewer can REPLAY/SHARE/LINK your video.

Playlists : When the video is a part of a play list user can view other videos in the playlist by clicking on the playlist button. Switch to other videos in the playlist by clicking on them.

Info Module :
With the player tab, you can view videos and access information about them. This menu allows you to:
• Play a video • Blog the video • Mail the video to a friend or a distribution list • Add a comment • Flag the video as inappropriate • Access the RSS feed for the user • Add user's podcast to iTunes

In the info tab, you will find more information such as owner, publication date, duration, tags and file size.

Files are always available for download. The big arrow will get the original file back, while the other icons will get the proper format files. Check the mouse over info bubbles.

Finally, the 2D barcode is still available. Clicking on it will take you to the Mobiletag site, enabling you to download a mobile phone reader software.

With vpod.tv, you can easily publish your videos to your website or blog: you only need to copy the HTML code in the web tab and insert it in your site :

This service offers two options:

the default video player (in two coding formats: one using <script> tags and one using <embed> tags) and a videoroll (a thumbnail of your video that that starts playing when you move your mouse over it)

Did you know that you could actually change the size of the player? It's easy: just modify the code provided with the following parameters (you can combine them of course):

Fist option is available from the player, click on menu and link.

We are also introducing a customization tool, enabling you to easily select the size of your player.

In all cases you can press Preview to check the result of your selection.

With this module, you can also access your movies statistics and create graphs. You can choose the period you are interested in.

By default, when a video has just been uploaded to vpod.tv, it is not accessible and does not have tags or a description. All this information must be filled in by the user. To do so, users need to drag and drop the video to the video information module and go to Edit tab.
